Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations

April is a truly special time in Stratford-upon-Avon, as the town comes alive to celebrate the birthday of its most famous resident, William Shakespeare.
Each year, the town hosts a variety of festivities in his honour, filling the streets with performances, music, and activities for all ages. From costumed parades to open-air theatre and family-friendly entertainment, it’s a celebration not to be missed.
Bell Court will be joining the festivities too, with live performances, music, and exclusive offers throughout the weekend, making it the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the celebrations.

Sunday 27th April
The Annual Shakespeare Service is being held at the Holy Trinity Church at 11:15am. The deeply moving service will celebrate Shakespeare’s life, featuring a Shakespeare Sermon by Peter Graystone, and words and music performed by members of the RSC.
Road Closures
Some roads in Stratford-upon-Avon will be closed over the weekend as part of the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations. Plan your visit accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
